Taser Requires Buyers To Register
In an effort to keep felons or anyone on the U.S. terrorism watch list from buying Taser stun guns, Taser’s new civilian model requires buyers to register their guns and undergo background checks.
In addition, the taser stun gun has a built-in tracking device: 20 to 30 tiny red metal flakes called “ID tags” that disperse when the gun is used. The tags are hard to see, but each one tells the authorities who the gun and cartridge are registered to. Removing the tags disables the $30 cartridge that houses the darts.
Taser Is Expected To Take Off
The new civilian Taser is expected to take off in the 43 states where stun guns can be sold. Just a bit larger than a cell phone, it’s small enough for people to carry, and it’s easy to use.
The civilian taser stun gun is similar to what police have, with this key difference: Pulling the trigger on the police version provides a five-second stun. The civilian trigger starts at 10 seconds and can be squeezed several times continuously to get a maximum 30 seconds.
The rationale? Five seconds is enough for police to subdue a suspect, but civilians need a 30-second shock to allow “them time to escape a dangerous situation” by shooting the Taser and running away.
Taser Stun Guns
Tasers are safer than other stun guns as a self defense weopen, because they are the only one that can be fired from a distance; others require actually touching the attacker. Taser stun guns are safe and affordable.
Intuition
Heed your intuition. Many victims who survive their attacks state that they had a feeling that someone or something didn’t seem right. Yet they proceeded to put themselves in the situation because they didn’t want to seem rude or be embarrassed.
Trust your instincts. Always avoid a dangerous situation when possible. Also always have a self defense device on hand for emergencies that are unavoidable. A stun gun, pepper spray, or even a taser stun gun all fit in a purse, pocket, or glove box. A small investment and a little planning now can save alot of pain later.
Law Enforcement Can Track Potential Misuse
Tasers are not considered a firearm, they are considered legal for civilian use. There are some states, cities, and countries that do have bans on them, so make sure they are legal where you live before you make your purchase.
A taser is a hand-held self defense weapon that delivers a jolt of electricity up to 50,000 volts, up to 15 feet away. This allows you to keep a safe distance away from your attacker. The taser C2 shoots out two darts that are connected to 15 feet of wire. The taser stuns the attacker which causes an uncontrollable contraction in the muscle tissue. The attacker becomes immobilized and falls to the ground.
To prevent misuse, the TASER C2 will function only after the owner completes a background check. C2 Taser cartridges have a unique serial number and are equipped with Anti-Felon Identification tags to allow law enforcement to track potential misuse. AFID tags are dispersed upon discharge. A taser stun gun is a safe and effective self defense weopen.
