 Active Ingredient In Pepper Spray

Pepper spray usually comes in the form of aerosol with an active ingredient known as OC (oleoresin capsicum), which is Chile peppers. The heat of the Chile peppers is determined by the amount of capsicum in it. Capsicum is 15,000,000 Scoville units when pure, with it being between 2,000,000 to 5,000,000 in majority of pepper sprays. If you are a big jalapeno pepper eater, you eat them at just 5,000 Scoville units, so imagine what it would be like to ingest pepper spray.
Pepper defense spray is serious business!

 Not Just For Humans

When you think of self defence, do you ever wonder what you would do if you were walking in your neighborhood and all of a sudden an aggressive dog starting running toward you? Would you be prepared? If not, hopefully you have some good running shoes on. There is an easier way to handle such situations without getting attacked. Pepper defense spray is not just for humans. They also work on canines. If you are faced with an attack, one spray in the dog’s face is all it takes to stop him. As on humans, the effects last 20-30 minutes and cause no permanent damage.

ATM & DEBIT CARD SAFETY TIPS:

Pay attention to your surroundings. Consider taking a friend with you if you use an ATM at night or in a deserted area.
Park in a well-lit area close to the ATM, and prepare your transactions before approaching the ATM.
Close the entry door completely upon entering an ATM facility equipped with a door. Do not permit any unknown person(s) to enter an ATM facility with you after regular banking hours.
If you notice something suspicious or feel uncomfortable, cancel your transaction and leave the ATM immediately. Report all crimes immediately to the operator of the automated teller machine or to local law enforcement.
When using an ATM or point-of-sale (POS) terminal, shield the keypad while entering your PIN.
Put your cash in your handbag or pocket immediately; wait to count it until you get home or are safely in your car.
Take your transaction receipt with you. Do not leave it at the ATM.
When using your Debit Card for purchases, review your sales slip before signing it and check to see if the correct amount has been filled in. Never sign a blank sales slip.
Make sure the merchant returns your card to you when your purchase transaction is complete.
Memorize your PIN. Do not write your PIN on your card and never give your PIN to anyone. The bank will not call you to request the information.
Protect your card as you would cash, checks, or credit cards. Report lost or stolen cards to us immediately.
Of course, this is another example of an important situation to have your self defense equipment at hand. Devices like stun guns, pepper spray, and personal alarms are affordable and safe. They are easy to use and carry. Store in different convenient locations so you will always have one when needed.

Dark Parking Lot

Awareness is 90%

Awareness, according to experts, makes up 90% of self-defense, the remaining 10% being physical techniques. With awareness, you can identify and avoid potentially dangerous situations. Without it, you become an easy target for a criminal.

Always be cautious. You should spend most of the time with your awareness switched on. Always be aware of possible threats and stay alert. Make sure you have a 360-degree peripheral awareness of such environmental danger spots as secluded doorways, entries, and alleys. Be aware of people, vehicles, behind large objects, dark areas, etc.

Self defense equipment such as stun guns, pepper spray, and personal alarms are an essential ingredient in a good awareness plan. Always have a self defense device near you, and be ready to use it. A little planning and quick thinking can save your life or someone you love.

 24/7 Protection

The bad guys use the tactic of surprise as a key part of their evil plan. Seldom does an attacker give advance warning of his intentions to assault you. Like the slime they are, rapists or any kind of assailant use darkness, isolation and surprise to their advantage. With surprise they can quickly gain the upper hand in any struggle making you the loser.

Now you can level the playing field and turn the tables on the bad guys by using the element of surprise to your advantage. How? By using disguised self defense pepper spray.

Here are a few suggestions.

PEPPER PENS. The pen with a punch. Take off the top and spray away.

PEPPER PAGER. Carry it right on your belt. Looks just like a pager. Ultra easy access.

STUNNING RING. Wear it everyday for 24/7 protection.

LIPSTICK PEPPER SPRAY. Perfect for purses.

PEPPER BATONS. The perfect answer for just about any situation. Hooks right onto your keychain.

HOT WALKERS. Pepper spray inside hand weights that runners and walkers use to get the heart rate going while exercising. Great outdoor protection for that morning walk or run.

Remember the purpose of all self defense products including pepper sprays is to give you the time to escape a dangerous situation. Another thing to remember is to react quickly. A few seconds can make all the difference. Don’t be scared. Just be prepared.

 Works Like a Charm

Chillin, hangin-out, or a night out-on-the-town with the girls, whatever you want to call it, have fun but always put your personal safety first. There is nothing like an evening of fun and laughter with an awesome group friends. And by observing just a few simple safety rules you can enjoy an evening out and still make sure everyone arrives home safe and sound.

1. Who’s your buddy? The “buddy system” was an excellent safety technique when you were seven years old and it still works like a charm at twenty plus a few years. Make a pact with your friends to; go out as a group of 5 and to go home as a group of 5. This group decision cam eliminate a serious amount of drama throughout the night.

2.Listen to your intuition. If you feel uncomfortable with any person, place or social setting, share these concerns with your friends. Likewise, if a friend comes to you with her own, gut instinct warning, trust her intuition as well. Sounds like it’s time to grab your friends hit the road and continue your party elsewhere.

3.Don’t go anywhere with out your personal protection products and plan. Self defense pepper spray and stun guns are very effective and affordable. There are many models that are compact enough for a small purse or even a pocket. And of course you always have a back-up in the glove box. A little planning now could save alot of pain later.  Have some extras on hand. They make great gifts for all your girl friends.

 Don’t Forget The Animals

When evaluating your needs for your personal protection plan, don’t forget that animals can also be a threat to you. If you go outdoors often and know of an aggressive dog that escapes their yard, why take the chance of running into the dog without being prepared? Self defense pepper spray will make the dog stop the attack as soon as it is sprayed. It will affect the dog’s eyes, nose, and mouth without harming it. Canines are not the only animal that can cause problems. If you go camping you may be closer to bears than you know. Be prepared in case you encounter a bear and it charges at you. Self defense pepper spray will irritate the bear’s eyes, nose, and mouth. This spray is humane, with the symptoms wearing off after at least an hour.
