How easy is that?!

A lot of families do a gift exchange every year. Many draw names or families. Others rotate through family members so everyone gets everyone eventually. Some have other systems. There is usually a dollar amount limit or guideline. It can be hard to find a gift that is actually needed or wanted and still be a surprise, and stay in the set price range.

This year I decided to get the same thing for my parents, my in-laws, and siblings we drew this year - a fake security camera. Who doesn’t want to feel safer? Most people wouldn’t think to ask for one. At the same time everyone I know think they are a great idea. Come to think of It, I think some of my friends and neighbors will be getting the same thing! How easy is that?!

A fake security camera is not only affordable, it is actually usefull. Show your loved ones you care about thier safety.

Keep Them Guessing

I recently installed a fake security camera on my front porch, close to the front door of my house. My intentions were directed to a potential thief to deter a break in or other criminal activity. The results were very interesting. I have teenagers, and many friends coming and going, some late at night. I don’t mind because I know the kids and like them and trust them. I did get a kick out of the looks and comments of concern from some of these kids when they discovered the camera.

“Is that thing really recording?”

“Is it on all of the time?”

I like the added piece of mind knowing that more than just the criminals will be on their toes believing that they are being recorded. That was an added benefit to the already affordable fake security camera.

FAKE SECURITY CAMERAS

Fake security cameras and dome cameras that are actually empty are an excellent way to keep criminals guessing without having to shell out a lot of money for a real security system.

Purchase your Fake (or Dummy) Security Cameras and place them anywhere to make people think that they are being watched. You should also consider placing a few Dome Cameras in high profile areas where you want to prevent problems.

Homeowners Discover the Benefits

CCTV security systems were of course originally intended for business use but it did not take long for homeowners to discover the benefits of home surveillance cameras. They are now used to keep homes and families safe from crime and danger. These home security products are getting more and more advanced  and are capable of doing so much more. Motion detection and wireless systems make these home surveillance cameras capable of covering even the most challenging of security needs.

Deadbolts and Fake Security Cameras

Deadbolts act to deter, prevent and delay a break-in. Thieves may be deterred from attempting to open a door locked with a deadbolt and may leave. Fake security cameras can have the same effect. When a theif sees a security camera they are likely to go in search of a more private crime. They don’t want to take the chance of being recorded. Video evidence is undesireable to crooks. You don’t need to wait untill you can afford some big expensive home security system. There are affordable options you can do all an your own. Start with a good deadbolt and a few fake security cameras. Then mabey a real wireless security camera and a door stop alarm. You can even get yard and window signs to give the appearance of a security system. Act today for the safety of you and your loved ones.

wireless-security-cameraAmongst security systems there are two types used to record surveillance; analog and digital.  An analog system is a traditional security system that uses video tapes or discs to record surveillance.  A digital system records surveillance as computer data.  The truth is, there is no reason in this modern age to have an analog security camera system installed unless it is due to cost.  A digital security camera system tends to have higher quality recordings, and is less hassle because it doesn’t require you to switch out tapes or discs.

The only real drawback of a digital system is if there is some kind of problem with the computer hard drive, you could lose your data for an amount of time, or in very rare cases permanently.

A Smart Option

Installing a home security system is a smart option. Make sure that your home is not an appetizing target for the criminal element.  Obviously placed home security cameras (mabey some fake and some real) will make your house less tempting to criminals. They don’t want to be recorded for evidence on your home security cameras.

Another good idea even for those with home security systems:
Join or form a neighborhood watch. This is a great way for neighbors to help each other stay safe and secure. Post neighborhood watch signs throughout the neighborhood and in the yards of residents. Burglars hate nothing more than knowing they are being watched.

 Secure Your Home And Family

All too often homeowners overlook the problems that can place their home, valuables and loved ones in danger. They are either unaware of the risks or think that it won’t happen to them. Unfortunately, this year, a large number of Americans will suffer at the hands of an intruder. The goal of every homeowner should be to eliminate these risks to the best of their ability. Steps can be taken immediately to help secure your home and family.

A properly functioning, home security system with home security cameras is the best option to keep your home safe from an intruder. Studies have shown that you are three times less likely to be a victim of a break-in if you have a home security system. More often than not just the appearance of security cameras will deter a thief. If the burglar does break into your home, your home security cameras will provide evidence that can assist your local police department.

Clear Video Evidence

I recentely read an article about home security cameras and a break-in in Palm Bay.

These burglars picked the wrong house. Two teenagers clearly had no idea they were being recorded as one stuffed videogames into a pillow case. A third teen acted as lookout by the slider door they used to gain access to the home. It’s believed the same group broke in there ten days before. After the first break in, the owner looked into home security systems and bought a video surveillance system that’s triggered by motion.
The system is connected to the home computer and at the office. It notified the owner that morning that movement was detected in his living room.
“Mind-boggling to see somebody running around your house.” he said.
The police were called and now have clear video evidence. Thanks to thier home security cameras the owners are hopeful the criminals will be caught.
